Sponsorship and donations

In all communities where it is active, Podravka has proven to be a reliable social partner which cares for the community. For years Podravka has allocated significant funds for sponsorship and donations, thus helping the activity of various organisations, clubs and NGOs. Podravka sponsors the following:

• cultural projects to promote the quality of cultural events and citizens’ lives

  For example, this year it concluded sponsorship agreements with the Croatian National Theatre in Osijek, the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, Teatar ITD in Zagreb, City Theatre Trešnja in Zagreb, the Motovun Film Festival, and it assisted in funding the visit to Oman by Lado

• sports clubs to create better conditions for their work, develop sports culture and to promote a healthy lifestyle

  Podravka currently sponsors 13 sports clubs, among which the Croatian handball champions "Podravka-Vegeta", whose sporting success is well-known all over Europe, the Croatian first-division football club "Slaven Belupo", and "Podravka" bowling club whose team member is also world champion and record holder Željka Orehovec.

• humanitarian projects to contribute to problem-solving in communities or specific groups within the community

  Among other things, Podravka sponsors the "Cooking against Mines" project which raises funds for demining Croatia.

• educational projects dealing with the quality time of children and young people and assistance to children and young people with special needs

  Podravka supports and donates to various NGOs whose activities are focused on children and young people, such as associations for the blind, associations for people with learning disabilities and for the physically disabled, and this year it is sponsoring the Youth Sports Games which are held under the motto "Live your life without drugs, because drugs take life away".

Within its active role in the community and apart from sponsoring different projects, Podravka is a sponsor to the first ecological primary school "Antun Nemčić Gostovinski" from Koprivnica which at the end of 2003 obtained the status of European Eco-School. Within its sponsorship of the school, Podravka supports the moral, professional and material implementation of the European Eco-School programme.
