Prof. Zlata Bartl Foundation

The idea to establish a Foundation to encourage and promote the creative and innovative work of graduate and postgraduate students emerged in 2001. The inspiration for the future foundation was found in the person and work of Professor Zlata Bartl, who is credited with creating ' Vegeta ', and who dedicated her whole life to working at Podravka and providing the younger generations of Podravka's workers with in-service training. For this reason, it was proposed that the Foundation bear the honourable name of the Prof. Zlata Bartl Foundation.

On 18 October 2001, the Management of Podravka formally decided to establish the Prof. Zlata Bartl Foundation, with the purpose of promoting and encouraging creative and innovative scientific-research work, and in this way preserving the memory of the name and work of Zlata Bartl.

Podravka, as the Foundation's sole founder, invested finances to enable the Foundation to begin its work. The Foundation's finances are used as scholarships and support for regular graduate and postgraduate students, who are Croatian nationals. Mr Darko Marinac was appointed the Prof. Zlata Bartl Foundation manager.
