Throughout its history, Podravka has continually invested in people and their knowledge. In its strategy, Podravka recognises “knowledge as its most valuable asset“.

Learning is part of the corporate culture. Every employee, at all levels, is aware of the need to continually learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.

Human Resources organises a series of educational programmes in cooperation with faculties, foreign and Croatian educational institutions, top experts and trainers for particular areas, with the aim of developing:

• managerial knowledge aimed at business process management, 
• managerial skills aimed at people management,
• professional specialist knowledge and skills in the area of technology, sales, marketing, finance, human resources, etc.,
• programmes for the acquisition of foreign languages,
• computer literacy programmes.

In order to satisfy the company’s needs for training programmes which develop managerial knowledge and skills, Podravka has established or organised:

• in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, Podravka’s Academy of Management (Croatian acronym POMAK)
• in cooperation with Leeds Metropolitan University, the Professional Diploma in Retailing Programme
• numerous in-house training programmes designed to develop managerial knowledge and skills in cooperation with renowned Croatian and foreign lecturers.

Great importance is placed on developing skills and knowledge in Podravka so that our employees are included in educational programmes from the moment they join the company through educational programmes aimed at trainees and new employees within the Internship programme.
